Fine Arts

Discover. Create. Inspire.

MTCS Fine Arts encourages students across all grade levels to explore their God-given creativity, develop their talents, and inspire others through the power of the arts — in four impactful areas: Visual Art, Musical Art, Theater Art, and Digital Art.

Explore the Arts

Visual Art

Preschool and elementary students enjoy weekly visual art classes, while middle and high school students may choose a daily visual art elective. Students work across a rich variety of mediums:

Clay • Charcoal • Pencil • Mixed media • Collage • Acrylic paint • Oil paint • Marker & colored pencil • Watercolor • Chalk pastel

Musical Art

Weekly music classes are integral to our preschool and elementary programs. Elementary Choir is available for grades 3–5 and Beginner Band for grades 5–6. Middle and high school students may choose Band and/or Choir as a daily elective, and our students audition for local, regional, and state honor groups. The audition-only Cougar Jazz Band performs in the stands at home football and basketball games — with an exciting new drum line joining next year.

Theater Art

MTCS offers a vibrant theater program for students in grades 6–12, who rehearse after school to prepare for school productions. An after-school theater program is also available for elementary students. Recent productions include Addams Family Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., Annie Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Frozen Jr., Little Mermaid Jr., Lion King Jr., The Play That Goes Wrong, and The Wizard of Oz.

Digital Art

More information about Digital Arts at MTCS is coming soon.

Fine Arts in Action

Sixteen events throughout the school year give our Fine Arts students the chance to showcase their talents for family, friends, and the MTCS community — from the ELC Friendsgiving, Veterans Program, and Notes for the Holidays Concert in the fall to the Spring Play, Art Shows, and more.

To God’s Glory
