MTCS offers elementary basketball for grades 2nd-5th

• Rutherford County Recreation League
• 2 Divisions: (2nd-3rd) and (4th-5th)
• No tryouts (Teams organized by the basketball staff)
• 1-2 practices a week beginning in October
• 8 games beginning in November – Games on Saturday
• Equal playing time

MTCS offers “CUBS” basketball for grades 5th-6th

• Competitive team that plays against local schools
• Tryouts-Team selected by Varsity basketball staff
• Playing time is earned, but not necessarily equal
• 2-3 practices per week beginning in October
• 15-20 games per season
• Junior Varsity games will be played when possible

MTCS offers middle school basketball for grades 6th-8th

• TIAA Basketball Conference
• 5 practices per week beginning in October
• 15-20 games per season
• Junior Varsity games will be played when possible
